Surprise!
A friend of mine who works for our church was recently in Africa on a mission trip for two weeks. While he was gone, I decided to surprise him with an office makeover. This is what his office looked like before.
The mess is not for dramatic effect. This is actually what his office looked like. Now in his defense, he had very little storage and some of the clutter was from a video that he was filming. So the first thing we did was clear out everything and went in search of sufficient storage for his office. Next we added an accent wall for a pop of color and rearranged the room for more efficient use of the space.
Finally we found chair on Craigslist for added seating and some accessories from Ikea that provided an interesting contrast between old and new. This whole office makeover was done for under $250 including the shelving, paint, chair, side table, and accessories. We were able to keep the cost down by repurposing existing items we found like the filing cabinet and cork board. Also they had friends generously donate the pictures above (bottom center), which added a lot to the space. In the end, we were able to make a huge difference for very little money and only a few days work. I hope he enjoys it!

Amanda you did a great job. You are so talented. I will highly recommend you to anyone looking for a great new design.
Thanks, Rob. Let me know if you know anyone that needs any help. I really love doing this.
